The Late Nite Catechism comedies have been a habit at the Hermosa Beach Playhouse for a record-breaking nine seasons! Created by Maripat Donovan as 'Sister,' 'Til Death Do Us Part: Late Nite Catechism 3: is the latest class to be unveiled in this sinfully funny series. After teaching countless students all about the saints, venial sins, guilt, limbo and more, Sister is now offering up her hilarious lessons on the Sacraments of Marriage and Last Rites, including her own wacky version of The Newlywed Game. Classroom participation is a must, so bring along your sweetie and your sense of humor for some quality time with Sister, the feistiest new couples' counselor in town. As always, each performance is unique and will appeal to people of all ages and faiths.
Be the first to see this workshop production before Sister opens this brand new comedy at the Laguna Playhouse.
“Historical and hysterical!”
“One of Maripat Donovan’s best crafted scripts to date.”
“Maripat Donovan has assumed the mantel of August Wilson. What Mr. Wilson did in his series of plays focused on the African American urban experience, Ms. Donovan is doing for the American Roman Catholic experience...only she's way more funny!!!”
“This one will 'wake up the dead' with laughter.”
“Sister as marriage counselor (aka marriage constable) has found her calling.”
“Some advice to the Archdiocese: Cancel the pre-Cana classes and send all your couples to see ‘Till Death Do Us Part’.”
